Global engineering and technology company, PhDsoft has been a member of the Digital Twin Consortium since last year, an international membership organization working to advance the use of digital twins across industries. It is a global consortium that brings together more than 250 members, including companies, government agencies, research institutions and independent organizations with the objective of establishing the exchange of experience and knowledge of digital twin technology.

Participation in the consortium reinforces the company’s mission to promote digital twins as a leading-edge technology and key to transformation and sustainability in the world,”explains Duperron Marangon Ribeiro, CEO of PhDsoft. “We are promoting the Digital Twin Consortium initiative to becomes a reference in Brazil, where we concentrate large part of our operations,” he reinforces.
The first version of PhDC4D, PhDsoft’s digital twin, was launched in 1993. The first contract was signed with Transpetro, in 1995. “It was the first Predictive Digital Twin in the market. Eight years later the term Digital Twin was created. Since then, PhDsoft has been a leader on Predictive Digital Twin technology, providing the technology for more than 110 assets worldwide,” explains Duperron.
Among the company’s customers are Modec, Subsea7, Petrobras, Transpetro, Shell and the Port of Houston.
The Digital Twin Consortium is made up of eight working groups that collaborate in the Aerospace and Defense, Natural Resources, Health and Life Sciences, Safety and Reliability, Financial Technology, Technology, Terminology and Taxonomy, Manufacturing, and Infrastructure sectors.
