Frontend Engineer — Web 3D and Technical Cockpit
Evolve the WDT web experience, including 3D/4D visualization, maps, technical panels, inspections, risk, evidence and the operational cockpit.
About the role
This person will evolve the WDT web experience, especially 3D/4D visualization, maps, technical panels, inspections, risk, evidence and the operational cockpit. The platform is organized around visual navigation of the asset, with element selection, layers, history, documents, sensors, FEA and visualization modes.
The challenge is not only to make attractive screens. It is to turn dense technical information into interfaces that are useful to engineers, inspectors, analysts and managers, while preserving context, performance, visual accuracy and traceability.
Main responsibilities
- Develop web interfaces for 3D/4D navigation, element selection, properties, filters, layers and the timeline.
- Build technical panels for inspections, degradation, risk, sensors, evidence, reports and prescribed actions.
- Optimize visualization of large engineering models in the browser, considering performance and usability.
- Integrate the frontend with APIs, geospatial data, simulation results, documents, images and approval workflows.
- Create clear components for dashboards, maps, the technical cockpit and pilot follow-up.
- Work with QA to validate critical flows, responsiveness, error states and offline behavior when it applies.
- Support prototypes and demonstrations for R&D projects and internal teams.
Required qualifications
- Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript and modern frontend development.
- Command of React, Angular or an equivalent framework.
- Experience consuming APIs, managing state, building reusable components and responsive interfaces.
- Ability to organize complex information into clear user flows.
- Knowledge of web performance, debugging and interface practice for operational applications.
- A portfolio or examples of interfaces, applications or components you developed.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with WebGL, Three.js, Babylon.js, OpenGL, canvas or scientific visualization.
- Background in GIS, maps, BIM, CAD, 3D models or spatial data.
- Experience with technical dashboards, industrial systems, inspections, sensors or simulations.
- Use of AI for prototyping, code review, documentation and test generation.
Related technologies and tools
TypeScript, JavaScript, React or Angular, REST APIs, WebGL, Three.js/Babylon.js as a plus, and libraries for maps and data visualization.
Profile
We are looking for someone sensitive to user experience in technical systems. They should balance visual clarity, performance and domain accuracy, working closely with engineering, backend, QA and product.
How to apply
To apply, send the following materials:
How do you currently use artificial-intelligence tools in your professional workflow? Name the tools, give examples of activities, and explain how you validate the results produced with AI assistance.
Additional information may include LinkedIn, GitHub, Behance, Google Scholar, articles, publications, websites, demonstrations, applications or other links relevant to the role.
- An up-to-date curriculum vitae with education, professional experience, main projects, technologies used and responsibilities held.
- A portfolio with concrete examples of previous work. For software, this may be GitHub, applications, systems, APIs, interfaces or projects that can be demonstrated. For engineering, this may be models, simulations, reports, analyses, publications or technical work that can be shared. Confidential projects may be presented in anonymized form.
- A presentation video of up to 5 minutes, briefly showing a project or portfolio, the problem solved, your contribution, the technologies used, your working workflow, everyday tools, your use of artificial intelligence and how you validate results produced with AI support.
